Buckeye Fire volunteers support Camp Courage breakfast
Buckeye Fire Department Charities said it supported the Arizona Burn Foundation’s Camp Courage by sending volunteers to Prescott, Arizona.
The group said volunteers from the Buckeye Fire Department arrived in Prescott where Camp Courage is hosted every year to provide a pancake breakfast for burn survivors and staff. Buckeye Fire Department Charities credited the Arizona Burn Foundation for the opportunity to support the program.
Camp Courage is described as a free, supportive environment for youth burn survivors ages 6 to 19. The Arizona Burn Foundation said the camp is designed to help burn survivors heal emotionally, build confidence, and connect with peers through outdoor activities that include ropes courses, swimming, and arts and crafts.
In its post, Buckeye Fire Department Charities thanked the Arizona Burn Foundation for its mission.
