**Scottsdale Police Department Invites Community Feedback for Re-Accreditation Review**

Scottsdale, Arizona (October 1, 2024) – The Scottsdale Police Department is reaching out to the community for comments and feedback as it embarks on its Year 1 re-accreditation review with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA).

To retain its accredited status, the department must meet 462 established standards. Accreditation lasts for four years, during which the department is required to submit annual compliance reports. The Scottsdale Police Department has maintained CALEA accreditation since 1994.

Community members can provide written feedback regarding the department's adherence to these standards, its engagement with the community, and its overall qualifications for accredited status. Comments can be submitted through the following link: [cimrs2.calea.org/133](https://cimrs2.calea.org/133).

A compliance service member from CALEA is scheduled to begin a file review on Friday, October 25, 2024. This review will assess the Scottsdale Police Department’s policies, procedures, management, operations, and support services.

For additional information, the public can visit the Scottsdale Police Department's website.
