The Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) has released the latest episode of the #SUSDSpotlight podcast, titled "Episode 28: SUSD Safety & Security." This episode features a conversation with SUSD’s Safety & Security team, focusing on efforts to maintain safety in schools, particularly in light of recent non-credible threats.

Josh Friedman, the Director of Safety & Security, emphasizes the importance of reporting threats rather than reposting them. He urges community members to follow the guideline of #ReportDontRepost to aid the investigation process and ensure proper responses to any threats.

SUSD is also hosting a Town Hall event on school safety and security on Monday, September 30, at 5 p.m. This will take place at the Chaparral High School SUSD Auditorium. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Superintendent Dr. Scott Menzel, Scottsdale Police Department Police Chief Jeff Walther, and law enforcement officials from the Phoenix Police Department and Paradise Valley PD.

Community members can submit questions online to be answered during the panel discussion at the event, and a recap including a summary of questions and answers will be made available afterward.
