Tempe Firefighters Train for Swift Water Rescues

Tempe firefighters participated in a training exercise focused on rescuing victims from swift water conditions. The exercise involved teams from Phoenix Fire Department, Scottsdale Fire Department, and Phoenix Police Department, who were responsible for piloting the helicopters. Three members of the Tempe Fire Department, who are trained as Aircraft Rescue Technicians and have attended specialty school, took part in the exercise and are prepared to conduct hoisting operations from helicopters if needed.
