Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector has been selected as one of 24 U.S. mayors to participate in the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University’s Program for New Mayors. The program is taking place from December 4 to December 6 and is a collaboration among Bloomberg Philanthropies, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, and the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School.

The mayors attending the program represent over 5 million residents across the country. The event includes an intensive two-day workshop aimed at enhancing their leadership and management skills.

During the program, Mayor Rector also met with mayors from other cities known for Major League Baseball Spring Training in Arizona. He connected with Mark Freeman from Mesa, Lisa Borowsky from Scottsdale, and Kevin Sartor from Surprise.
