Spooky Book Recommendations for Halloween Reading

Staff Report / Scottsdalelocal.org

As Halloween approaches, the Appaloosa Library staff has compiled a list of spooky book recommendations for those looking to get into the holiday spirit.

Jen K. recommends "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova, describing it as an intensely dark and creepy book with beautiful writing that immerses readers in the character's journey.

Heather S. suggests "Read at Your Own Risk" by Remy Lai, challenging readers to tackle the book, which she claims can make even the tiniest silverfish seem frightening.

Jenny L. presents "Haunted Ever After" by Jen Diluca, highlighting it as a spooky romance that offers a chance for a haunted happily ever after.

Leslie G. endorses "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, stating it is her favorite book for the "Spooky Season" due to its perfect blend of horror and science fiction.

These recommendations provide a variety of choices for readers looking to indulge in some spooky literature this Halloween.
